The family Firm of H E Weir & Son was established in the City of Edinburgh in 1989. We are a father and son partnership specialising in the installation, repair, upkeep and maintenance of public clocks and steeple clocks throughout Scotland.

Our services include the repair and maintenance of clock faces, dials, hands and of course, the hammers and strikes used for the ringing of the bells. You can find more information on our full range of services on our Services page.

We are members of the British Watch and Clock Makers Guild, Federation of Small Business and Constructionline.

Currently we are the main contractors to Historic Scotland – who own and look after many, many of the country’s most valuable and historic buildings and treasures. Our other clients include both North and South Lanarkshire Councils, along with the local authorities and councils of the following areas;- Scottish Borders, Perth & Kinross, North and South Ayrshire, Dundee City, Fife, Highlands, the Western Isles and Orkney Islands, East Lothian and Midlothian.

We also look after and maintain many private Church and privately owned clocks and bell ringing systems.
